Surdeen Equipment & Trucking Company Limited was founded in 2004 by John Surdeen, Chairman of Richmond Hill Club, and has grown into one of Jamaica's leading equipment and civil engineering operations, employing more than 300 people from within and outside of Jamaica.

From its head office at Church Pen, St Catherine and its western base at Ironshore, Montego Bay, minutes from Richmond Hill, the company serves the island's major bauxite, energy and construction operations with a fleet that includes a 60-ton excavator and the largest trenching machine in Jamaica.

Since 2007 S.E.T. has executed civil and building contracts of growing scale for clients including Jamaica Public Service, Kier, Vinci, Riu and Half Moon, capped by US$35M of civil works on the 190MW power station at Old Harbour Bay. Its mission: quality and integrity as the company's watchwords.

Importer and seller of JCB backhoes, excavators and equipment, with a dedicated parts department offering new and used parts for all JCB machines.

Building & Civil Engineering

Building and civil engineering contracting from earthworks, trenching and infrastructure through to complete structures, delivered since 2007.

Electrical & Mechanical Works

Electrical and mechanical contracting supporting industrial and energy projects, including work alongside international partners such as TSK of Spain.
